Hey y’all!
First Husqvarna build.
Two question.
1. My 372 kit came with a air filter similar to my 359. I thought the 372 has the big circular filter.
2. What is the OEM part number for the piston pin? I can find the needle bearing but nothing shows the piston pin.

thanks in advance

Is this a build from a farmertec parts kit?

Here is a screenshot from an IPL for the original edition 372: Item 1 is the filter for the low-top cover, and item 4 is for the high top. As for the piston pin, I think they only come with either a full piston & cylinder kit, or a piston kit. Did your AM piston not come with a pin?

Thank You and Interesting! Yes the jug came with the pin. But I heard that it’s highly recommended to put a OEM one in.

I think the pin is fine...I would swap out the wrist pin bearing for OEM though. Might want to use some better (oem) pin circlips....some of those AM ones are pretty sketchy.

Consider yourself warned…the exhaust floor on those Hyway jugs can be a bit flat. You definitely will want to check that….this is what can happen: 6C98346F-2B6A-4805-9EC6-7F969E1234A4.jpeg

How do you covert to the high top? I see a 288 kit but not the 372. Same thing?

You need the elbow to convert to the high top. And just use the hyway pin. OEM pin comes with the piston set. Maybe ask some folks in the parts section of the forum to get a pin separately.

After running both I prefer the low top more often.
If you want a better performance filter you can get an OEM nylon mesh filter which obviously moves more air .
The FT air filter elbow was a little loose so a wrap of teflon plumper tape around the top sealed the filter to elbow perfectly.
Im also running a Jonsered 2165 carburetor on that saw, and a 50mm pop up from LRB ( which I don't recommend their company) .

I'll have to look, can't remember off the top of my head?
I bought it used and needed a rebuild kit, 30$ for everything.
I imagine quite a few of the Jonsered carbs would fit; being that its the same company.

Interesting!
I am intrigued by the crank seal on the PTO side. Does it seem like it won’t seal as well compared to normal seal on the crank, or is that just my own opinion?

The sleeve should have grease or sealant inside it and the clutch needs to be tight and they’ll seal fine
