I went with a 272 piston this time. It fits wider on the rod and the gap lets the rod rub on the crank. I made a couple spacers to center it.

The port work is done and this thing is ready for assembly and a test fire. I haven't finished the muffler yet, but fortunately I can rob the one off my other hybrid.
What was the reason for going with 272 piston instead of the 046 piston I liked the shorter piston , but like the single ring of 272

Would have to see what your options are and where port timing ends up for each. If adding any type of transfers the single ring is the way to go
