288xp, 385xp or 390xp??

I ran a 288 once. Noticable difference in av compared to any 1122! Springs beat rubber.

Agreed. 064 won't need to be rebuilt sitting alone on the shelf while the 288s slayings wood.

Nah 25 year old stihl 064. Honestly heard 385 has better vibes then 288 and 385 has better numbers then 390. Wich is funny cuz 064 has better numbers then 660

Anyone have measurements of the cranks widths at the shoulder and the throws?

Did we figure out if a 395 crank can be turned and stuffed into a 385 and made to accept an in-board clutch?

I think we abandoned ship at pressing cranks apart and putting them back together. Then, what do ya do with the extra mm of stroke?? Double?? Triple base gaskets?? I'm not up on my conversions, but I have to think a mm is about .080 ballpark?? Piston, meet squish band...play nice!

I have 385 numbers out in the shop BRB...

1mm is a tad shy of 0.040"

Idk what to do with the extra stroke.

The idea was to take a 395 crank and turn the clutch side on the lathe to resemble a 385 pto end.
