Ok I warmed her up and tried tuning her but she would idle ok then just die. In the cut sounded like too much advance, popping.
So I set the timing back to almost stock. Nada, somethings not right...

It cleared ok cold but not warmed up.
Question is can I add a copper washer to the plug, or do I need to pop her open and grind a little out of the piston?
And what is the proper clearance to the electrode?

First I thought it was the hda87 i send to you, was one of the first rebuild I did....
I wouldnt grind the piston, there has to be other ways to fix the issue, you are probleby not the first one who goes through this

No time to mess with this more... Need to get ready for the gtg!
But I'll try advancing the timing again, and look at the clutch brake this weekend at the gtg. Now we need to beat the hell out her and get her broken in.
It was 215 psi cold this morning. Definitely need a firm grip, but she pops quick.
