Hey guys,

Planning to order a couple of these echo # A556001710 and the company selling them is willing to ship to the US. I checked with Randy and he said it was gtg. With this part being hard to get I figured we could try a group buy.

If you want any quantity of the 1/4 pitch 8 tooth drums please let me know and I'll make a list. I am going to take a $20 deposit so I'm not stuck with paying for drums/shipping.

I am going to forecast a final price shipped to individuals somewhere between $30 and $35. I'm leaving wiggle room just in case and that figure will likely be less. I can ship these within the US with first class postage or priority mail, up to the individual.

I will keep the thread updated as we go and as needed if there is participation.

I can supply panther sprockets if anyone is interested? i also have a few genuine ones left but i'm not sure how many. I'll need to check. Panther ones are £22 plus shipping. Genuine ones are £35 plus shipping but I think I only have 3 or 4 available. I can get a load of the panther ones.

I’m not familiar with the panther drums. Are they notably different? Less durable?

I've managed to find the company that makes them in Canada they happen to be 45 minutes drive from my home. They could sell them at 60 CAD (44 USD) which turns out to be a bit more expensive from what you guys found online but we would get them fast, as they said they are not stamp and rewelded but CNC in one piece and then heat treated, I have no problem picking them and shipping (shipping could on my shoulder it will be cheap enough) them to Mette or someone else to re-distribute within the US, they also have the one for the DCS-2500T (1/4 pitch) and the CS-355T which fits to almost all the Echo saws that uses 3/8lp. All those sprockets are the same price. Let me know if it could be an interesting avenue.

Why would anyone get a part for $44 when I projected the echo part shipped would be $35 or less.

I did all the work and wrote it out so people could see it all plainly. Why try and take over when I already have it set up?

I agree, maybe I should've put that in the post.

We have a tentative 15 so far, I'd like to get 20 before we order because that keeps the part cost including the shipping to us at about or close to $20 per part.

I'm willing to ship a portion to anyone in EU if there is a group there. I imagine shipping within the area would be economical.
