I’ve been looking for a full chisel non-safety chain that’s 1/4 pitch .043 gauge. Most of the chains this size are safety chain, and all of them are semi-chisel.

I’m running this on a 12” panther bar for my echo 2511t. The panther chains are good, but they have to be ordered online, and still are semi-chisel. Anyone know of anything better?

I have never seen a full chisel 1/4 pitch chain in any gauge. I only run 1/4 on one saw, touched a rock the other day... sparks and all!

Still cut well enough to finish the job. Semi has it’s own attributes. What it gives up in speed, it makes up for in durability.

I'm rockin 1/4 . 043 on my unit. 14". Ported by @Mastermind . I wanted it more aggressive too. But the 3/8's was, as I was told, too choppy for the weight and balance of this saw. Especially one handed. Happy medium seems to be a shallow top plate angle, with the rakers dropped aggressively. What rakers this chain has... And just as @Duane(Pa) said, these thing cut when dull.

At one time Oregon made 1/4" in chisel but at .050 .It was taken of the market thanks to Ralph Nadar .Fact I used it on a Poulan S-25 I still have that has since been fitted with 3/8" pico .
