When you split cases don't check the oil tank to see how full it is. It's much more fun to soak the bench and vise with bar oil. o_O

That gives it what you call character.

Nope. This will have the 365 special jug. I actually sold the 372 jug I had in favor of the 65cc.
They're so close I've sold several 372 jugs and bought 365.
How close are they Mike? I have a 365 Special, and a 372xp jug, but no desire to swap out the top ends. I've never ran the two side by side, but my 2171 that I sold was a real good runner.

With 24" bars I don't think you can tell them apart. I've been using 24" full comp on this one so far. Going to have a 372 xtorq here next week to mess with and compare to it.

The 362 and the 365 Special make the same power (on paper) but the 362 does it at 1000 more RPMs than the 365. If you look at the transfers they have quite a hook to them. The 362 XP was intended to replace the 262 XP (was also small mount) but never really took off. I believe the 365 Special was ~$100.00 cheaper than the 362 XP when new. They are good runners though, rev out really well.

Yeah probably so. It's going to get put together stock first more than likely. I've got to get a groove cut in my mandrel and then size it to fit the 48mm bore. It will take me a while to knock the 3mm off the aluminum.

I found a bearing at home. So I started putting it together. Got it together until I need to tear the mix breed apart for the tank. I heated the case halves in the oven to 325° for about a half hour or so. The flywheel side bearing fell right in right after pulling the case half out of the oven.
