All back together and waiting for the 1184 to cure. It was pretty chilly today so I am letting it sit over night. Cant wait to see how this thing does!View attachment 283585
I think you’re gonna be happy. Your porting and David’s machine work are gonna give you the “Umph” you’re looking for.

Hope you took appropriate steps to ensure the intake seals on the bottom like David mentioned.

Heres the video. I am REALLY happy with how this turned out. Gonna keep the tune fat for the first few tanks. Got some freakin grunt! Dare I say its kinda close to what an OE 50mm 372 (no machine work) feels like torque wise.

Ported 2159 is a one saw plan........just sayin;)
R we on round 3 yet? :D Nice job Austin!
Thanks man! I don’t think I’m gonna do a third round of porting on this one. I 100% agree a 2159 is a one saw plan. Enough grunt to get through 24” wood and light enough to do limbing.

To be honest, I don’t even know any more Dan... lol!!

But on a serious note though, I grab this saw 99.999999% of the time when I go out into the woods.

No prob! Good man, stop while ur ahead! Lol! It took me 2-3 pistons before i got my 2159 rite. Newbie problems that was. First saw i ground on. Still my favorite, torque for days. And mine doesn’t have any machine work or a TA.

I've been looking for a 47m/m piston tall enough to cut a popup on, Dolmer 6400 has same size wristpin size but I don't know how tall from wristpin to top.
Got a popup in a 357 that gives199 lbs. comp, both my 359s come in a about 180.

Dolmar has narrower skirts and .020 lower crown.
Husqvarna 362xp is 47 mm...
