This is an unfortunate situation.
I can’t see how we could reasonably do this and still enjoy ourselves when we are advised by people not to be in close quarters. That’s what the GTG’s are all about IMHO, I could cut wood at my own home. No matter how ridiculous I feel about a lot of this is, I still find myself doing odd things for self preservation and infection control. When there is even a minute possibility that picking up the wrong fork or wrong beer might cause self harm or transmission of threat to a loved one, the fun quickly dwindles.
I am faced with it being an impossibility. I will be needed at my business to either help with what’s upon us, or deal with the rescheduled volume of patients (that have canceled visits) when this maelstrom passes. I sincerely hope it’s the latter, and I am sure that nearly everyone will be dealing with the latter in their own workplaces in one way of the other.
The shutdown of society as we know it will have long lasting and broad consequences.
Randy’s GTG is Columbus Day Weekend, so that might interfere with a fall date. We could all just plan to take Tennessee by storm this fall as well.
Oh well...
