PAST 2018 spring CT GTG, April 7

[Fruecrue]

I’ll be there Friday.

Gonna make a giant pot of sauce with pork, sausage and meatballs. Ricotta cheese and some mozzarella. Grated Locatelli Pecorino Romano. 8 big loaves of bread and 10 lbs of pasta. Maybe some chicken in the sauce too.

Angelo may bring a pizza oven and we will make some pies.

Sorry, probably no sushi this year guys. The pot of sauce and meat will keep us all full. I enjoy the cooking, just don’t wanna do it all day like last year.

Dan, we need that heat diffuser plate. Unless you wanna hear me complain all day that the sauce is burnt. Cooking on a turkey fryer with a greasy ass skid plate with holes in it was an exercise in frustration last year.

I'm off that day, but I'm working Friday, so if I get there Friday night, it'll be late.....ya....late. sleep in the car late. up all night tending the fire late.

Last time I was there I brought 5 saws, Al had built me one but would not let me have it until we met at Dans and I think I only ran 2 saws all day. Sat around all day putting faces together with names( real- not innernet stuffs) feeling like I was at a High School reunion with buddies I had known for 30 years and not seen since.

1) I DO NOT extend past 4/15 unless absolutely necessary, I need it to end. Only do about 2 or 3 late per year, mostly snow birds that are not back yet.

2) The new laws are for next year, and are not necessarily simpler. This year will be very difficult as I try to explain next year to everyone.

Tax season (2.5 months) is the only time of the year that I'm working full time, but it is 7 days a week, long hours each day. You have to mentally prepare yourself for it, or it will burn you out. Part of how I get through it is looking forward to it ending. Keep in mind, I am the office, there are no support staff, I print, assemble, mail, etc. You can not get behind or it will run you over like a steam roller.

Besides, if I can squeeze any free time, 4/5 is my Daughter's birthday.

I don't let it happen, but I often describe tax season as being like jogging in front of a steam roller. You don't have to sprint, but you can't stop. Most times, seeing hundreds of people, you will get sick, but you must keep going. That is the tough part. I often get a sore throat from all the talking and going in and outside so much (I go to people's homes). The Mustang has brand new Blizzak high performance tires all around, so we are ready!

Drink tea with honey to save your voice, and get yourself a little 4 wheel drive SUV. Save the Stang for summer. Lol
