Finally got the 346 put together, modded and running, tuned to around 14.2k, new loop of .325 lpx.
Seems pretty fast but then again any decent running 346's seem fast so... At least it's faster than the modded 350's...
Sorta the same situation with the 394, don't have a close baseline saw to compare with.
Red maple, middle of the road hardness wise, trying like hell not to cookie up all my good oak and beach firewood as I've lost access to my usual wood lot.
Most of the beach is unsplit so I can block that stuff up but it's just not the same as a good cookie, lol.
I also knocked down an 8-10" dead pine for some soft stuff but it ended up being too punky/fast to bother with.
Tried off the roll .325 lpx first so I can next compare directly with some other muf mod only 346's' and ported 350's, all of which are also set up for .325. The test wood is way back on my property instead of my usual backyard locale so a bit time consuming lugging saws back and forth.
Then I have to set up it for 3/8, can't figure out which saws ended up with all my small spline 3/8 rims so stealing a drum from a 359 to use the larger spline.
