What do i need to properly do the welding on my cab. 75/25 mix gas or 100 argon? 024 wire? Or should i use .030?

My brother in law was a production welder for 20 years, its what he told me to go with.

I just welded this in fact.

I put the rear swaybar links on. I have to go get a welding gas cylinder Friday. Had some saws to fix for side work and have to put a turbo and up pipes on a 7.3 here this weekend.

Don't worry. I'll have more money for the truck now! Still have to finish gutting the cab and get the doors off.

My daughter and i stripped the cab interior and outside mirrors off the cab last night. Pulled all the remaining harnesses out and the doors are ready to come off. Got to do some work on the doors to fill the holes where the mirrors mounted. Going to put my a frame mirrors on.

I just tell her the job and let her figure it out. Help only when absolutely needed. Show her little tricks after she does it the hard way. She does well at problem solving because of it.

Yep, thats the only stuff that was perfect cosmetically on the old truck. There is a lot of difference between the two cabs. Lots of brackets to cut off and weld on.
