And being this old and brittle I added a good gob of epoxy to keep the wire stable which will help prevent further cracking.

Alright, it's about time to get back to cleaning parts.

Looking good Sir. Have you messed around with opening the primary side and/or filling the seconds to get a better entry?
That's usually a must do when those things are that small.

The intake block is resurfaced on both sides.

I used a thin layer of motoseal to seal it tight. 20170922_005722.jpg

The muffler and cover were too rusty to put back on this thing so I stripped it with acid, hit it with a sanding sponge and gave it a coat of paint.
