It's hard to tell in such small wood but I don't think it will matter how long the bar is to it.

I'll find out in the morning once I build a big peice of wood. Lol

J, why did you leave the intake floor so high?

Looking to understand, not to criticize.

Do the bigger saws not like as much intake?

Ports look great as usual and it's pulling like two freight trains.

@Armbru84 is a great gentleman to deal with BTW.

I didn't want to take the intake too low for fear of hurting case compression.

What are your thoughts on the intake Jason?

I think you are right in keeping the intake higher to gain cranking compression.
Everything is big and it will need it to feed the monster.

I cant speak for Jason but my thinking was that when I looked at the transfers, they are not much bigger than on an 066, but the volume needed to pass through them is more with the much larger bore.
I didnt want to go to low out of the box and make the saw a turd with poor case compression to push lots of mix up the transfers.

My other reason is the OEM cylinders are NLA and not worth killing chasing an extra % 0r 2

Because the carb and inlet tract are plenty large to supply the air/fuel with that short of duration. Allowing you to maintain more crankcase compression which is always a good deal.

If you look at the stock numbers I've got 10 more degrees of intake now than It had,not many saws I port gain that much intake.
