Cant racing can be a lot of fun if you don't get all strung out about it . Problem is a lot of people get so stressed about 1/4 of second diff and blow the whole damn thing out of proportion .

I mean fer cryin out loud you don't go to the woods and cut square wood a 1/2 inch at a time . Then again a woods port if done right will scream through a log with bark still on it and do it all day.
A cookie cutter high port,on the other hand most likely couldn't make until coffee break. There in lies the difference .

lol i have time to think of something lol
I've been working on excuses any time I can't practice with a saw.
So far my favorite excuses for getting beat are -
Damn knots !!!
I was running the wrong oil ratio for this species of cant.
The sun was in my eyes.
My chaps were too tight.

I am getting fully prepared :angryyell::lupie:

Sharpened at wrong angle, used wrong size file, didn't have glasses on, skipped a few teeth.

Wood too dry or too moist.
Grain too tight or too loose.
Cant was twisted.
Saw was tuned for a different elevation, temperature or humidity.
Was using summer weight bar oil in December.
My bar, chain, power head, sprocket and fuel mix were optimized for Ohio pine.
I thought I heard banjos

North Central Ohio/poplar/aspen/cottonwood/ pine is what some must struggle to come close to. Must be like the good olé boys in Alabama that can't be touched in gum. ;) Hahahahaha

I just seen the videos great job it takes a lot of balls to show the world how a 084 should run.
I haven't tried cant racing.
Is that a custom bar?
I'd like to see how my mastermind 084 would do against your's.

Why don't you lift up the cant so you ain't laying on the ground? There must be a lever on that machine that will do just that

:pesas:
I was gonna say that it looked like his hydraulics were leaking, cause it seemed his cant was getting lower and lower... But other than that you did a fine job, definitely better than I could!
