Picked this 044 up from a local. He said everything was oem. Well it doesn’t look like it. And the piston tried to eat an exhaust bolt. The exhaust bolt won. This is an early 12mm black lever.
Any identification to this cylinder? Look chicom to me. Same with the piston. I have a couple slant fin cylinders I might throw in it and run a meteor piston.

Farmertec/Huztl cylinder is what I think it is based on the mark in the center of the combustion chamber, and how they've been machining some room for air flow on the top of the cylinder fins, but usually they leave the machined parts shiny.

What oil do you run? Just curious.

I never ran this. Bought it like this to fix and keep.
I run opti-2 at 45:1 if it matters.

That cylinder won't clean up?
Just run 35:1 with a dab of
JB Weld!

Definitely a Chi-com top end. I've seen another of those pistons crack like that when the saw ingested debris.

I think I have a clean OEM jug you can have for that.

Thanks JJ. But I think I’ve already located one but will hit you up if he doesn’t find it.
I’d much rather rebuild this oem than keep chi-com crap in there.

Thanks for the information on the cylinder everyone.
