Got another question. I put a new carb on it. Factory one wasnt fully adjustable. I fired it up made a few cut. Cuts ausome but i cant make the dam thing idle. Could that be feom the timing advance.

Oh and my ears are still ringing lol

Start with both screws 1 turn out which should get it in the ball park. Check all your rubber hoses too. And yes its loud haha

i turned them both in till seated. Turned out about 1 turn and tried retuning a couple times. It four stokes nice out of the cut at wot. I even triwd turning the idle screw in and cant seem to get it to idle. Got to feather the throttle to keep running.
It ran great on the old carb.

Will have to wait till after work tomorrow. Gettng dark now.

To me it seems plenty rich on the low side. Tried to richen it but got worse.

Do you think it could be something to do with the timing advance. Should i try putting it back a bit or all the way?

You could try that. Also try leaning it out just a bit on the high side but make sure its still 4sstroking.

It has been many years since I ported or ran a 026 so before I ported it last week I ran it a little and my goodness what a stinker,it felt like something was wrong with it like the ignition was retarded or something. They flat like being ported though, there's huge gains in one.

Will mess with it again later tomorrow to see if i can get it to idle. If not will put timing back to stock and and retry.

Was gonna go cut wood tomorrow after work. Was hoping to take it along if i can get iet tuned properly.
Carb is an aftermarket one but shouldnt really matter i think.

They like the timing advanced. Likely the new carb is much fatter than the factory carb. The low side controls alot at idle. Go in on the low side till she idles too high.

It's possible you installed the key backwards. If the key is on top of the crank, the filed portion should be to the rear of the saw
