Got the blade torrent quad choppy now.
A 2S 850ma pack only runs a few minutes powering 4 brushless motors at 7600kv.
But the lil bugger is pretty cool, flips very quickly has lots of power and the fpv range is incredible with the 150mW camera. Had it in some strong winds yesterday and it's was fighting in flight mode 1, mode 2 is a bit more acro and can push into the wind much better. Flying fpv video is way different than line of sight. It's a new learning curve can wait till I can get good with it to fly my planes fpv.

Anyone been running ther rc toys.
I havnt had mine out in a while. Got about enough fuel for another tank and half for mine and half jug for my boys. Think I might get them out sunday and run them one last time this year then start tearing them apart to clean and inspect for broken an worn parts.

Yeah I been flying the crap out of my blade torrent quad choppy. It's a blast with the fpv goggles on. My neighbor says it's going around 35 mph or faster down the road and that wast full throttle yet. Been sticking with the 2 cell 7.4v packs and it can handle 3 cell packs too.
When I can't escape my yard to fly planes the quad choppy has been great. I can run it through some trees over fences around light poles, basically it's a rc car for the air. All the wind we have had lately has not been too much of a problem for it yet I air and acro mode. Horizon mode is a self leveling mode and only allows it to roll a maybe 20 degrees and wind will take it away but that easy fly mode is boring now and I won't use it. IL se if I can get some vids of it in action on day and post it here is a youtube of some other person

@bikemike

Hey any idea what caused this rubbing in transmission.
It wor through till it hit the break lever thing.
I cant find a breakdown of parts for tranny to see if anything missing or for parts numbers.
Im guessing the trans case is pooched?

Also i know now the tranny only spins one way when spinning the spur gear. Now will it only spin one way when not in truck. Mine will now but feels rough. The one way gear seemed to work fine when i had gears all out.

At the end of season my boy crashed it pretty hard and stuff started going wrong after that. Not gis fault though. Throttle stuck wide open from low batteries.

I think a new tranny case will fix it but the 1 way might havery some melted plastic or shaving from the screw that backed out.

This is my Lil 1/18tH scale collection. I have a associated rc18t and bought a traxxas latrax teton used and just got 3 latrax prerunners in the mail for the kids and might get another 1 soon20180302_093200.jpg had 3 of my kids at the indoor clay track and my friend and I. It was a good time kids broke the stock latrax plastic gear servos, but that was to be expected.

Are those brushless? Mine has a hobbywing xr10 60 amp brushless esc hobbywing 12 turn brushless, mip front shafts, dog bones in the rear and hot racing bearing carriers, traxxas latrax gear diff in the rear . It's getting hard to find good aftermarket parts for the associated rc18t but there is a few left out there. My truck has been used every week on a clay off road track and haven't had many issues of breaking parts

The truck is actually an Xray M18t
The crap quality pictures make it hard to tell. I have another M18t and rc18t stashed away somewhere though.

I loved my old savage 25. It was a beast and tough basher

My first savage was a 28 SS but I ran a modded S25 in it. It was my favourite and most reliable one. I have had more powerful ones but they don't end up being much faster. All the hop ups to deal with the extra power, added too much weight.
