Ol’ Chainsaw Jimbo gonna get another civil/magistrate claim against his ass...I’ll initiate here shortly against him. He’s got my ProMac-700 which he refuses to send my way. Read this turds rap sheet...I think it’s about post 310 or so in the ‘USMC615 ProMac-700 Build’ thread he started. Read the whole f’d up thread...just a dopehead, disability sucking POS!

The o ring usually disappears. I've only ever found a couple. Replace it and pack the sleeve with grease. Also make sure the face of the clutch that seats against the sleeve is flat so it can aid in sealing. Just a few things I've picked up that seem to help with the somewhat flawed design. I will normally go with a new sleeve also.

Dont get to thick oring if used when clutch tighten oring spits bushing causing air leak grease should be fine to seal when clutch is tightened correctly
Just my 2 cents

The OEM oring is only about a nut hair thick.

Tiny little thing I couldn’t believe that thing was what was causing the leak I had been chasing.

Yeah put everything back together held seven psi . Couldn’t believe it. O ring is very thin indeed. Motoseal and greased a new bushing. Good to go. Thanks again guys

Howdy! I'm new here. This is what's on my bench currently being restored. Got it for free from a junk pile, great compression. Waiting on a new clutch cover [emoji41]

Thank you! I found the cover from a parts direct site. It was the last one, $15 free shipping. Chain I'm not sure what to get, I still need to find a cover and refinish that husky bar. Bar is in great shape with no bends or damage. Saw was not stored with any old fuel in it either when I got it!

Damn yous a luck sob finding that cover lol. That saw uses a A041 so a K095 (small husqvarna) will work as long as you have an oiler hole provision made, incase you didn't know that already.

Gonna use .325 or 3/8s?

Yeah I couldn't believe it either! I'm stoked. And no, I didn't know that about the Husqvarna connection, good to know! I'm gonna use .325 with this bar, if memory serves me right it's an 18"? I plan on picking up a 22" bar as well.

Got a 201TC on the bench, heap of issues (notably the "leaks bar oil" complaint is because the bar stud cracked the case), but also a particularly carbony combustion chamber.

It's about 1/8" thick on that left edge next to the clear spot.

Not sure if it was the carbon, the leaking crank seal, or the loose muffler that caused the scoring, but initial cleanup doesn't look great.

If it were my saw I might throw in a meteor and run it after finishing cleanup, but I think I'll have to see if the customer's scrap pile has not only a case half but also a cylinder... Nothing sticks up or catches a nail, but there are certainly a bunch of depressions. I've run cylinders with one similar mark and been fine, but this one has at least 10 little depressions/scratches, two of 'em pretty big...any opinions on this one?
