I just finished this Husqvarna 351. Next is fuel lines on a Husqvarna 338xpt, Then fuel line and impulse line an echo CS-440 then refreshing a Husqvarna 261. Then after that a Husqvarna 390 build. I gotta get away from these Husqvarnas.

Yeah I couldn't believe it either! I'm stoked. And no, I didn't know that about the Husqvarna connection, good to know! I'm gonna use .325 with this bar, if memory serves me right it's an 18"? I plan on picking up a 22" bar as well.

22 might be a little much for that guy.

I have ran 24" 38/s skip on a husky 55. It wasn't setting any records but it did it and could work in a pinch if you didn't have a bigger saw.

Wayne once he contracts the C.A.D virus he will have 5-10 "other" saws :crazylick:

Does 200T cases match? Hutzl has them and I wouldnt run that cylinder.

201t has very few common parts with a 200, so no aftermarket parts to speak of.

This poor saw is a goner though...autopsy results: muffler loose which cracked muffler, melted tank; crank seal leak caused scored piston and cylinder and blued crank/sloppy bearings; fall from height cracked case around the bar stud causing oil leak. Gave the rundown to the owner, gave estimate of about $350 just for (mostly used) parts unless he had some in his junk pile. He didn't, and he told me to keep the damn saw. A good used 201t around here might fetch $400, so no rebuild potential. I already have a nice 200T and 2511T myself, so to the "parts" corner it goes!

Alright good to know. I'll start with the 18" and take it from there.

Got a 201TC on the bench, heap of issues (notably the "leaks bar oil" complaint is because the bar stud cracked the case), but also a particularly carbony combustion chamber.

It's about 1/8" thick on that left edge next to the clear spot.

Not sure if it was the carbon, the leaking crank seal, or the loose muffler that caused the scoring, but initial cleanup doesn't look great.

If it were my saw I might throw in a meteor and run it after finishing cleanup, but I think I'll have to see if the customer's scrap pile has not only a case half but also a cylinder... Nothing sticks up or catches a nail, but there are certainly a bunch of depressions. I've run cylinders with one similar mark and been fine, but this one has at least 10 little depressions/scratches, two of 'em pretty big...any opinions on this one?

Went auction hunting again, picked this set up for $110. Stihl 026, Husky 262XP, 266SE, and a Jonsered 2050 turbo. The 266 is probably in for a full rebuild, the other 3 feel like they’ll run.

Have a couple of saws torn down and waiting for parts, a TS400 chop saw all cleaned up and waiting for a piston/cylinder kit. I also have a Stihl MS280 which ran fine last year, stored it for awhile and now it has no spark. It's awaiting a ignition module. I first checked to make sure it wasn't a bad kill switch or wire....I noticed the postage system is awfully slow lately...

My 660 is finally getting a timing advance. Running it most of the day tomorrow. Fun times ahead!

P.s.

Does the 372XP respond well to timing advances? Kind of guessing not since I cant find much.View attachment 202977
I've read some say yes and some say no,and if you do,it can't be much

Finally got this done and off the bench! Brought it to me and thought it was seized up, And needed a new top end6939322E-F22D-4B0B-9A6B-A99F2EE1F48B.jpeg0931CC35-D6B8-4927-8194-3F02DCC77ED9.jpeg
Got a love it when it’s just a clutch spring! I also checked out the piston through the exhaust port, the saw was supposed to be ported by Phil on the Oregon coast, and I think someone replaced the muffler along the line after that, it had a huge exhaust port, and a stock muffler so I matched up the muffler to the port as much as possible there wasn’t much material left to seal up
