Not saying they all leak that bad but some do. The one I had in for a "bad" oil pump a couple weeks ago was doing it. The guy never even mentioned it being a problem. Loggers don't worry about nuthin until the chain won't spin when they pull the trigger. Lol

I'd imagine a cracked or worn bushing would let some air in also

Yeah I replace the bushing pretty much every time now. Chain would spin on the 371 when it was cold until I changed that bushing and it drove me bonkers.

I guess this saw belonged to a logger before this guy got it. It's in good shape otherwise. When idling the rpms would shoot up to 4k just sitting on the log before I could even turn a screw. I ordered the bushing. I would imagine a new one would be tighter fitting.

Got my ported 361 cylinder back today and got it mostly together! Can't wait hear how my muffler sounds! Should be a good one! Hopefully videos on Saturday!
