When we make the sabbatical to either Sam's or Costco, we take one of the trucks and a couple of big coolers. We also make sure we have plenty of freezer space, in case pork is on sale.
It can be a painful day at the checkout but it's nice to have a stockpile of ribs, butts, loins and other hunks of pig, for when you want them.

Steve, mama said Costco membership is $60.00 a year. We have not been down that way in over 6 years, and never been to the Costco. I did call them a couple years ago about side meat for bacon, and they said they don't sell pork sides. ( bellies ) ( middlins) The meat man told me that nobody cures meat anymore. Don't want to know what I told him! He had no clue what I was talking about!

Ramen noodles, the $0.12 packages from Walmart. With some crushed up crackers.

I thought so, The daughter said she loves them at college. As I had never heard of them.

Wings on the Weber Vortex. Half marinated and left plain, the other half rubbed and sauced. Not too bad.

Where do you get bangers?
I haven't had them in years and haven't ever found any in the stores around here.
Since you're close, I might need to make a road trip.
Actually I found them at aldi they usually have them during st Patrick’s Day

You’re not missing much
Amen to that.
There's a reason they're $.12 a package.
The do make for an extremely fast to prepare, hot food item.

Thanks!
I'll start looking before St. Pats day.
I like bangers and mash.
Next time I'm down around Swiss, I stop at the meat market and see if they're making them.

Yup. 3 minutes in the micro-nuker, some crackers and done. While deployed we LOVED getting care packages with Ramen (during the cold months). Figured out how to make them in a cheapo wally-world coffee pot plugged into one of the trucks.
