I must agree, I drove over 85 miles today just to get sunflower and sweet corn seeds for the fields. 20# sweet corn @ $12.95 # And about 60# of sunflower seed for the dove patches. Plus black eyed pea seed. About broke me!
I'm jealous already and the corn isn't even planted.
I hope I can find some good sweet corn this year. Not much better than a big pot of boiling water, 10-12 ears of corn, a stick of butter and a box of Kosher salt.

$12.95 is the cheap Silver Queen, The Super sweets was 26.95 per lb.+ At 20 #s that is a lot of money for me just to mow down. Farmer Steve may be able to sell some of his corn. But not me. It all adds up to a lot of acres.

As you know I would love to ship you some.( If I make any ) Not sure how good it would be when it gets there though. I think that I could get some to Georgia or Tennessee a couple days sooner than I could get it to you, but I am not sure.

I done missed way too many groceries in here. College daughter here til tomorrow late afternoon, then head back to college for summer semester...getting a jump on two Nursing School classes that start this coming Monday. Her objective...Nurse Anesthetist. And I’m gonna do every damn thing in my power to see she achieves that high dollar, money making goal as quick as she wants to go at it.

She wanted homemade chicken tenders, waffle fries, and breaded okra all in one shot in fresh changed 100% LouAna peanut oil...just doing what I’m told fellas, lol...

Actually I had never heard of Morels, till I read about them on this site.
And uniquely some on this site make me wonder if they have ever heard of Morals too.
(just making some rhymes without reason -- I don't think Morels are to be found in my part of the US)
(And after traveling across America I have found that Morals are not always found in other parts either)

They are great on a steak
Morels are about as good as it gets.
A skillet full of thick sliced Morels, sautéed in butter and a splash of Lee & Perrin, coupled with a few cold beers, makes a damn good meal.

I'm marinating some wings in a jamaican jerk chicken marinade that I stole from Martha Stewart, it is very good. Pics to come of the finished product.
