Trees you've cut

My son helped me cut this one up as the snow flew last month.

Homeowner said he didn’t mind if the railing to the deck got hit. Tree was leaning right where we wanted it to go so wasn’t worried about it. As it came off the stump and was settling on the branches, as they broke it started slow rolling over toward the railing. Settled right above it! Got lucky. No she definitely drifted. Was really weird. It kind of walked out on the branches as it came down and just moved all over the place. Had large branches low on the tree and they kind of supported the weight as it came down.

The top had snapped out of this walnut so I decided to drop it and salvage the lumber. It is smaller than what I would normally harvest, about 22” at the base.

A wide birch that I skinnied out. The 044 has about 5 gallons of fuel through it since swapping the top end after it ate a circlip. It pulls a 24 in this kind of wood quite well IMO.

Alaskan mill so hard to make a skim pass. It’s a whole lot more messing around nipping away at it. I may take the top and make a pass on that later. Most the time the top is all trimmed and ugly, this one has a massive hump on it I had to cut out first. For some smaller boards off that. This thing is 56” at the wide end in the picture, but gets over 60” in the middle.

Low area that floods. Got real wet and heavy winds blew it over, but some big limbs held it up. Yes, the root ball sunk over time in the soft soil
