I looked around online and I think it should be 5/16”x133’. You should be able to order that by size somewhere like an industrial supply house or rigging place. I know we can order cables up made to size, I’ve gotten them for my stuff.
As a matter of fact, I might have an extra around, 3/8”, not sure about length. It’s for my Warn M12000. Another consideration is I don’t know what ends you have on yours.
One end, that attaches to the drum, has a clamp block. The other end has three sliders and a hook, but there is an eye made with a round (aluminum maybe?) ferrule. I don't really need the cable right now, just trying to price it out. My goal this year is to buy a decent trailer and try and make some money with all this equipment I have. Is it worthwhile to find an equally strong smaller diameter cable? It would be nice to have an even longer cable, if it is realistic. Are hand swaging tools worth it for making repairs on the cable? (cutting off a damaged end and making a new eye, etc.)

I have never had luck swaging larger stuff myself, but maybe didn't have the right stuff. We have a hydraulic jack based swaging tool for smaller, up to 3/8" maybe?
Could you re-use your sliders, etc.? There are different types of cable. More common is the coarser wire rope. You might find finer stuff used for overhead lifting to go smaller/stronger? I doubt synthetic would be a good option for logging ops...

Is the hydraulic tool a large hydraulic press? My local logging company, which is also my tractor dealer, doesn't do swaged ferrules for cable repair, just clamps. I would reuse the sliders and hook, and then just keep the original cable as a spare. I've heard to avoid aircraft wire rope since it is not as abrasion resistant as regular winch cable. While reading about the topic I have seen some guys using the synthetic stuff on the internet and they swear it is fine if you use choke chains, which I do use, but people are all over the place on this. I'm not running a commercial operation, but I do haul a fair number of trees on my own property.

I do mostly residential tight quarters felling and pick downs.
It would be nice to have a machine but getting through that three foot or thirty inch wide gate to the enclosed yard is going to be a real pisser.

I got some felling pics of this weeks sticks I saved for the mill.
Tonight or tomorrow might leave time to post them up.
Gotta as run soon.
Unload some sticks, trim some limbs over a swimming pool and blow off a back yard after the rest of the firewood is pick up today :)
That's mainly what I do, take enough off them to fit them in the hole; that and a few hazard trees that are near homes but in the country, drop and run deals as they have saws.
Did this one last week, grinding the stump and finishing up with topsoil and seed tomorrow.

Probably a stump sprout from a cut older growth stump the last time it was logged. This one sure had a hard lean at the dirt road and was a hazard.

My winch died.
Suprised it lasted that long.

I just give the rope a tug when it's done.
Neighbors garage is eight feet behind it with a back lean toward it. Good for one nice long 8x8 post and some fence pickets. Could be a beam in the long one. I'll look after the first slice. Two more to still pick up of the chestnut oak and one white oak.

Cleaned up while climbing before they hang up limbs or hit the ground. I use the short arms like a portawrap for stuff over structure.

One was ant gutted but very nice colors. Decided to mill it for my fencing at home.
I pull fibers all the time to steer them if needed.

That short arm works good for pounding a giant hole in the yard too. Maybe you lay wood down to drop the log on?

I do lay sleepers on the lawn.
Keeping them on the upside or cut them off if the last one is going to make holes. That one was for taking of a big backside limb so I left that one during felling. Gives me something to shoot a line onto without having to go back up the next day to set a rope.

I take very few chances when peoples homes are in close proximity.

I'm lucky to even respond here this month. As of late, the last few weeks login is getting worse and pics take forever or not at all. This morning after one post the site would not reload for hours and the pages are slow coming on any device or browser.

I don't have this issue. Maybe you are using the forum at peak times?
