Never enough time to do it all yourself. I’ve baked hay at night by lights to get it done if there’s no dew. Welded on hay equipment at midnight to get it going for the next day.

I agree! Its my fater in law and I on our hay operation. Even with us being competent mechanics its not enough sometime. Our square baler hit a tucker finger with a needle the evening before we were contracted to bale 1200 bales for a guy. It was a late night/ early morning!

Love your setup, esp. the barn, but I do not miss climbing the silos in the middle of the night to work on the unloaders. No way I could do that now!

Never had silo a unloader. :(

Dad always said he has two silo unloader’s....Me and my brother. :BangHead:

Haylage is hard on forks.... we mostly filled them with Corn silage and high moisture corn.

We lost my grandparents farm last year. I grew up there. Its still a little weird driving by it and knowing i cant go down the driveway anymore.
Once my folks have moved to the new place I won't ever go back to the farm. This last year hasn't been easy. I've realized a lot about not only myself but about my brothers and my folks. Some good, some bad.
