I have a 2159 it was just the 2156 that threw me off.

Funny you should say that cuz my 290 is still one of the quickest starting saws off the shelf I got lol.

That was my dads punch line wayyy back. Never buy a stihl or a poulan he said. With my Husky, I'd have the tree down and loaded and you'd stihl be poulan.

I finally brought my dad over to the husky side, after watching him pull on his Stihls, I pulled out my 346 and started it on 2 pulls, after that he was sold on them, traded him a ported 2153 for his 026, then a ported 262 for his 440 mag. He loves booth of them.

It was the 390 spinning the crank in the bearing more so than he bearing in the case

I think it was a bad run of crank ends. Bearings would almost push on by hand.

Troof. Had to use some on a 390xp (crank to bearing) I rebuilt. Still going strong a year later. That's some tough stuff. I've got a 7300 on the bench today getting a dab (case to bearing) today. Thanks for all you share Randy. if there is EVER anything I can do for you, just ask.
