Lol. That's why I like old skool stuff Ryan. [emoji106]

I like the new stuff, I think the newer features in stihl saws have certainly been an upgrade but some of this *s-word is getting kinda silly..different resets and versions just confuse people.

I actually see more sense in this new procedure than in hot it was done before.
Its closer to how you would tune a saw with a screw driver.
Set idle, then wind it out and set WOT max, then check idle again

Saw geeks on these forums don't mind it because we're in the know, the average guys that work with a saw are frustrated with this stuff, I see it everyday.

It's an improvement....
Really looking forward to a video of the calibration process,if it cures the Mtronic issues I may look into the V3 update Iam running the newer richer module with no complaints, but always looking at more improvements Iam hoping V3 can help me

Any if you guys try running different oil ratios? 32:1? Or richer? Does it help the innerds? Does mtronic compensate for it?

My 661mmws doesn’t like 32:1 it doesn’t clear properly spoke to @Mastermind running 40:1 for 3 years now no issues maybe Randy could elaborate a bit on this

Lol. I did Kevin. I am hoping to get some good run time on the 261 mtron with 32:1 and see.
I think I may actually be at 25:1 though. Lol

40:1 seems to work ok in the autotune and mtronic I ran it in. Don’t let them idle for minutes at a time seems to be the main thing. They seem to like to be “abused” and ran hard if that makes sense. Seem to tune better that way.

No need to.......

I passed the point of caring who runs what, and why years ago.

For your Stihls, (some Husky's are different) run a good oil at 40:1 and you will be fine.

I run Saber. Doc said the bottom end of my Asian was well lubricated.

More is not always better.

True Mike. Kevin runs a rich mixture. Can't really hurt the lower end too much.
