Nice :)
How many gallons per 60 miles?

No idea yet what it’s getting, just got registered and insured yesterday. Gotta work on some brake issues before I put her on the road. I’ve read they get decent mileage and some get excellent mileage with pump work.

@Mkinslow I hear they run forever on anything. Isn’t there something you have to watch out for with cavitation in the coolant eating the water jackets?

I’ve read some on it but from what I gather iuts something about people not regularly changing coolant [emoji2373]. Still reading into that

Not today but a few weeks ago. 1985 F-350 4x4 with 4 speed manual. The 6.9idi has been massaged into a 7.3idi and runs very well for naturally aspirated diesel.

Sweet truck!! I always wanted to pick up a IDI with a manual trans for an around town workhorse. They def don’t compete with modern day diesels power wise but they’ll get what you need done. And simple, fairly bullet proof, run on almost anything, can always get them started, etc. Unfortunately im in the rust belt so finding a clean one is the biggest problem. Up here new trucks rust on the lot

I’ve never been to much of a diesel guy, but for $2500 , minimal problems and very minimal rust I couldn’t pass on it. Plus if the diesel ever shuts the bed or wants to start giving problems, I’ve got a 460 BB setting covered in my FIL barn that will slide right in its place.
