Where you from mate? First non husky j’red or Stihl that I have had.
No de comp is no bad thing ...with a de comp Makita call it "Happy start" ! . As you have found they are ok without as there a good solid starter if your used to saws.No friggin decomp!! Just started it. Starts easily. But hell its pretty hard to pull over. Haha
That's a damn fine saw! OK, it's not a "super modern lightweight high rpm machine" but build like a tank (even more overbuild than a 395), super durable with lots of torque down the rpm range (huge stroke). One of the best saw's for milling you can get

Once you have the bar and chain on , there potential to buck about is much reduced when pulling against the compression .Just gotta rotate it to past TDC and then pull it ‘properly’ [emoji848]
I have wanted a 9010(very similar to the 9000) either blue or red have not ran and or owned one but I want to! Congratulations
Any interest in selling it?????
Nooooo.. it feels well... well hmmm.. well made. It’s a tank. Need to run it. Someone has done a nice job on a muffler mod before me. I feel my 084 Project may just become redundant.. [emoji15]
what bar you gonna run on it
on your side of the pond, parts availability should be great, over here even minor parts like the A/V mounts, chain brake parts, and clutch drums are NLA
The 28” and 36” are available with DO33 mounts ready to go in uk no Work needed , and if you grind the shanks down on the studs too 9mm the D009 bars will fit perfectly
