I had to canabilize the 181 pretty bad to get all my parts but I think it's almost ready to run.

Nowhere near finished, but it'll run while I wait for parts.

Not the top I'm going to use, but I haven't gotten the dyed one ready yet. I ran out of propane for the burner. In order for the dye to work it needs to be pretty hot.

Went with the 395 clutch.

Anyone know if the recoil/flywheel shroud is supposed to be orange or grey for the 288. Iirc the orange is from the 181. It's pretty busted up so imI searching for a new one.

The cat knocked my flywheel off the bench and broke a fin. I've got a new one being shipped soon. Thanks to @jacob j. for hooking me up.

I've got two covers. Neither are in the best shape but they will do for now. IllI keep an eye out for minty one in the future.

Finished up some smalls. Front AV spring, handle and recoil cover all installed.

Heat cycling now. Popped on the 3rd pull and ran on the 5th.

May i ask how did you install the seal on the pto side? Its on the oil pump.

I put the seal in after the oil pump was fully installed and torqued down. Adding a little petroleum jelly to the o-ring packing makes sure it gets nicely seated without pinching.

Got the top dyed this afternoon. Had the daughter do my pressure washing, so i could play around with the saw. I promised I'd make hot wings for dinner.

I'm waiting for some plastic polish. Hoping to get rid of the haze in the plastic.

This will give it some shine. There's also a buffing compound that works. I'll get a pic when I get home.
