I don’t remember. It was a much different truck than my Ford. Less power, manual trans, SB clutch, Smarty, S&B intake, no smog equipment, locking hubs on the front. Definitely got way better mileage (5+ mpg), but not near as nice to drive.
Just deleting the smog on those is usually around 3 mpg? That what my friend got, but his only gets 17ish deleted on 37’s on the hwy, and 13.5 around town. Have another friend that has a 6.7 Ford on 35’s I think he gets 14-17, so you are pretty close to that.

My buddy has a ‘14 that he deleted, and he says empty mileage gain was 4-5 mpg... he told me 20 mpg on the highway. He recently took about a 2500 mile trip with his travel trailer from Nor Cal to Montana and back and averaged 12.6.

Not sure what all that really means.

How heavy is the trailer?

Not very heavy. An early 2000’s (maybe) 20’ bumper pull. I’d guess 4000 lbs. travel trailers usually don’t weigh very much.

Any trailer is going to make a difference, had a friend that had a first year 6.7 dodge and he got 8mpg pulling a small trailer and 12 without. Mpg can vary, and so dose driving style. I have almost no flat hwy around here, I only have 101, and you know it isn’t straight or flat and hwy 6 is a small mountain pass, I live in a small area and drive country roads, I have about a 5 mile view to the Surrounding Mountains, it’s hard to get great mpg

I know all about steep windy roads. But I was hoping for 17 or more cruising down I-5. :D

Gas mileage.....who cares! Lol
Man, I love that car. :babeando:

I’m sure I mentioned somewhere in this thread that we had a ‘67 Firebird. We begged my dad to keep that car, but I guess at the time, my parents needed money more than they needed an old car.

Said goodbye to this one today. Kid who turned 16 a month ago wants to drive a pickup around. I told him a car or maybe a Ranger would perhaps be a better fit. Christ, even a half ton with an automatic would be a much nicer daily driver, but this is what he wanted. Been a great truck for me. Sad to see it go, but if I'm not gonna use it, someone else should. Good to see someone excited about fixing up the little things and keeping it on the road.

I love 7th gen Fords! I know alittle about fixing them up too. This patriotic example is my daily driver! That kid is going to be happy!

If that was true the whole thing inside and out would be gold! And I'd have to get a trailer painted gold to carry the rest!:D
Thats called paint Steve, that’s a whole other metal! Lol! You may or may not want that metal! It’s a killer! It takes a few years to recover! Lol
