The nearly 3 second advantage in the longer bar vs the 372 has my attention. That’s a big gap. All of them looked relatively close with the short bar.
I’ve not seen a 572 long bar video yet. Is there one out there?

He compared the saws with what looked like a 20” bar and 28” bar in the video. 28” I consider a longer bar on a 70cc.
Ha! I’m an idiot, I hit stop after the last 390 cut with short bars. Lol! Guess I need more coffee. That is a big difference, the big dogs still showed their muscle with the 28”.

Looking at there fastest times not the averages, it was nipping at heels of the 390. Impressive for 17cc disadvantage and the saw probably isn’t broken in.

Looks like that’s a xtorq 372 if I’m not mistaken too?

I agree with you @XP_Slinger I’m interested in a hardwood comparison with the 28” too. I’m going to wager a guess the gap would increase even more between 372 and 572.

I’m with you on that assumption. That auto tune really puts the Saw a class above its equivalent in displacement. Much like the 562 blowing away other 60cc carb saws while cutting as good or sometimes better than a 372 X-torq.

If you watch the longer bar 372 cuts closely, you'll notice he's bearing down considerably harder on the top handle. Enough so that he's actually touching the brake handle when it flexes. It also appeared that he felt there was a problem with the chain tension.
He didn't seem to do that with the 572.
