My dad is a big rail fan. When I was little I remember chasing the daylight engine through the feather river canyon.

Locally at USG plaster city we have the last operating narrow gauge in the US IIRC.

Are you talking about only commercial lines? The Durango and Silverton was still running when I was there in 2007, don't know if it still is. The D&S was sort of both commercial and tourist since it was a commuter line between those towns.
