Managed to take it to pieces. Well down to the short engine. It’s surprisingly clean and the paint is still shiny. I mean it looks like it has been used until it was dirty as and then shelved for the rest of its life.



I’ll be cleaning it and looking into it come more in the next few weeks [emoji122][emoji106]

Yeah there’s a encyclopaedia of Husqvarna knowledge between tor and bob

242/42 felling spike.. discontinued.. [emoji24][emoji24] what other parts fit, or is it a case of me laser cutting a new one?

Just put the caliper on my 242 spike. Comes in just a little shy of .110"

Pretty sure mine is advanced a little. Hard to remember the things I did or didn't do to my saws. I've heard about this interesting invention of pen and paper, but I'm on the fence about trying them. Lol
