I picked this up a couple of days ago.
Old tang safety Ruger M77 RSI in .270, with a Leupold VX2 3x9 scope.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Mannlicher stocked rifles.
With the 20" barrel, they are perfect for carry in a scabbard.

Nice...the full length stock is something of the past...you did good!! And the .270 with the right boat-tail rounds in the right grain, is a tack driver. I've got an ol' skool Winchester Model 70 XTR Sporter that the action and barrel have been glass bed...I can keyhole the same shots at 200 yds all day long.

That Ruger is a fine shooting machine.

Thanks.
These guns can be finicky. It took me a while to find a load that my RSI in .308 liked.
It'll probably be Spring before I start working up a load for this one.

What powder are you going to start out with?
Most likely H4831. It works well in another .270 I have. With the 20" barrel, I might need to go with a faster powder. I have several that will work. I want to get some VV N160 but haven't had the time to drive over and get it. I'm going to work with both 130gr and 140gr bullets.

The little guys have been chasing on both places = 3hrs apart. Not seeing the bigger guys chasing yet.

:( wife put down the law. No live trap around the house area for yote.
Even though she has been ok with the coon trapping for 20+ years around the house area.

One of these days. :2guns:

Wondering if same one. This one to me appeared bigger.

The one I think was a female as it was squatting to pee on the corn.

Bought a new spotlight today. ;)

That powder works very, very well in a 6.5 ×55 with similar weight bullets well.

I would like that short barrel setup with a thermal imager, nowhere to hide with that. For now I will happily settle for my 33lb, long barrel McMillan and 8 × 32 Burris.
