You see those new one handed removal clips being sold for the sks now. Archangel 35rds.

The others it takes 2 hands basically to remove quickly. I gave up on the older afm 30rd metal clip on my sks as it wouldnt feed for chit.
Thinking about trying one of these new ones though.

I started out with an 835 mossberg for ducks and geese. Ive owned several semi autos, including an 1187, a browning gold, a Charles Daly, and a few others. I began to realize how important "Bang, Bang, Bang" was. I got rid of some, and kept some. One day I went out on a limb and traded a browning gti over/under for a new 3.5" camo Beretta Extrema. Best trade I've ever made. My neighbor bought one at the same time, and when he upgraded to the new Benelli auto last year, I bought his old Extrema from him also. They both have around 10k rounds through them and perform flawlessly.

You'll notice my 835 Ulti-Mag in my gun cabinet pic. I've kept it all these years...deadly turkey gun with 3's or 3 1/2's.

Yep. Keep them clean and oiled and they'll last forever. They were one of the early ones to use longer forcing cones in the breech and longer tubes in the muzzle. They throw a really nice pattern regardless of shot size

I've patterned a many a load of turkey shot through it, whether 3's or 3 1/2's...seems the 3's shoot a little more consistent. Nonetheless fine gun, it'll be like all the rest one day, my son and daughter to have.

I've got another eleven long guns btwn rifles and shotguns in my sister/BIL's walk-in vault we built several yrs ago in his basement...piped it for de-humidification, low speed t-stat driven fans and all. It's an all day affair to wipe the guns down with silicone spray with everything that's in there. I have two BIL's who were Marine Snipers in Vietnam. Of course my ol' Jarhead ass just fell right in the ranks.

Hell at least I still have my .22 mag. lol

Add another 4 to that .44 and we are in business lol.

Agree the.44 is a good brush rd.

It's a fine round...the Marlin 336 chambered in .35, with 200 gr loads does the same effect. Great brush gun and will kill a deer all day long out to 200 yards. I've killed more deer with my .35 than all my long 400-yd plus guns combined. No different than the Winchester model 94...killed more deer than all combined on the planet shooting a .30-.30.

my older brother owns a 30-30 and he loves it. Me though I like it but not like the .444

You have sparked my interest in the .35 with a 200gr bullet.

.444 is currently throwing a 265 down range.

I've killed more deer and wild hogs with my .35 shooting 200 gr lead than all my other guns combined. We shoot 12 deer a yr here in Ga, most times I blister about six and I'm done, ain't got the freezer space for anymore...and the wild hogs are year round. And we just slaughter the wild hogs.

I have my great grandpas 1100. It's always gone bang for me.

It's got a long barrel on, I'm not a bird hunter and I only bust it out maybe once a year to bust clays

...with 12 deer a season around here and unlimited wild hogs all year round, the long guns tend to stay in shape.

Wild hogs would be awful for our states economy in Michigan for bio security reasons with all the hog farms here.

But, I kinda wish they were here so we could have fun shooting them.

The .35 Remington is a force to be reckoned with. The .44 intrigues me, but I think that the old .45-70 in the right weapon would be more flexible as a reloader. I'm actually looking at rebarreling a Czech/Brno VZ-24 Mauser K98 that I have from 8x57mm (a wonderful cartridge, but a semi-eroded throat) to .338-06. I like the idea of a .338 WM but loath the concept of a belted cartridge. The other interesting prospect that I'm thinking of is a .338-375 Ruger... No belt and a wide powder column.

I may have been not far away from you recently. I had to go to Robins AFB for some conferences 2 weeks ago. Flew into ATL and drove south. Pretty country!
