Piston came in a couple days ago. Just gotta get some rings(have a supplier) and still looking for a cylinder. Gave Bob a call and he doesn't have anything, but he gave me a few more places to call.

I'm actually headed to Maryland ny...that's Bob's Lawnmower Engine repair not ashokan turf & timber ; tomorrow weather permitting. Looking for some Mac project saws. And then parts the following week. I'l see what's there.

Well after lot's of searching and waiting I haven't been able to find a decently priced parts saw for a good cylinder. For the price of a worn out rusty 50 year old saw I can have the dern cylinder replated. SO.....I decided to "fix" the old one. In this picture you can see the broken port....well I took care of that by turning it into an Open port. Cut all the broken wall off and sanded the edges smooth. Took a piston and rings and checked for any issues....none seen yet. Got the saw back together and it has good compression and there's no binding. Out of fuel for it so gotta get some tomorrow and hope she'll run ok.....did fire with some prime so I think well be ok. Fingers crossed.

Nice to have it running again...ran it for about 5 minutes and then shut her down. haha Just waiting on the decals and she'll be done.
