Muffler bolt rattling behind the muffler brace.
Thats what my 268xp did, so thats my guess!

Big end bearing on the crank.

Makes same noise with clutch removed.
Muffler bolts all well and good.
Big end bearing is healthy.
No baseball card in flywheel.

Piston slap is my guess - we had a few old landing saws come through the shop making a similar sound.
