Was the timing advance at all on it ? And did it have a mm?

I bought it with the woodruff key sheared, no muffler mod.

I intend to treat this saw badly just to see what it can take.

Replaced clutch side seal today.
Seal looked fine, bearing looks and feels new.

Is anyone else of the opinion that the chain is way too loose in the video or is that just me? I like mine to fit up in the slot when motionless.

Saw didn’t have a chain tensioner at that time, but I was hellbent on putting it into some wood.

Made it back out to the garage last night to replace flywheel side seal.
Sure did change the tune having new seals. Wouldn’t idle, too rich. Couple tweaks of the carb and she’ll tick all day.
Piston shows arrival on the 29th.

I didn’t measure the bore.
Now that you mention it, I wonder what the difference would be front to back vs. side to side of jug and piston due to wear.

They do, usually lack of air filtration. Lot of hours with a clapped out filter will take the plateing off the intake side

Funny how people will worry more about the brand of oil they're running and not give a hoot about their air filter.

Stuck the meteor in before work today.
20 minutes from running with old piston to running with new piston, that includes smoothing some casting flash on the new meteor.
Knock is gone.
What a delightful saw to work on!
Hopefully soon, will mount a bar and run it some.
