Couple of questions for the peanut gallery:

1) Isn't .016 kinda tight for squish on a saw of this size???

2) Did you say you used the Huztl piston with the Cross Cylinder, and is a possible their dimensions are a bit different?

I thought .016" was tight as well, but why not, it's a race saw.
This was the cross piston shipped with the cross jug.

Marks on piston and band have sharp edges and corners. They also happen to be directly in line with the swell in cylinder wall and damaged ring.
