I've got a Oregon 511 ax and had it a few years
with tricks like reversing the moter with a drill I've got pretty good results.
I am always trying new things to speed up my work chains with different angles and such
Today I clipped the toe on the rakers and lowered the chasie just in front of the raker to help carry more chips
This chain goes on a ported 395 32" bar and mostly cuts and bucks big pine with this saw
This chain cuts great like this
60/30/10
My bigest questions are will the chasie work and clipped toes hold up for the life of the chain
And I took the gullet as far down as I could is there any down side to such a low gullet
Also is there better angles for clipping the toes to help drag chips in soft wood.
I'm no expert any advice would be appreciated
Any other tips or tricks would be nice
I don't think I'm ready to go to square yet I'd like to master round first
Thanks
