You say you're 2 meters deep? That's a little further in the ground than I would prefer to be, with no shoring on the trench walls.
We’ve had a Timber Tech deck for 11 years , and it’s held up really well. My only complaint is that the integral drainage weep holes get clogged with dirt and debris, and need to be power washed once or twice a year. For a small porch it might not be much of an issue.Redoing four porches at the MIL house.
Using Timber Tech tongue and groove. This stuff is amazing. Very easy to work with and should last forever hopefully.
16ga staples holding it down.
Pictures don’t show how good this stuff looks.

What stain/sealer?Finished floor... stamped and sealed. I think it’s a nice look. And Saves money on flooring.

It can tolerate a fair amount of abuse - over the years our dogs' toenails have caused some minor surface scratching, but we haven't had any issues moving furniture around on it. Like all of those composite decking boards, it can get a little brittle in freezing weather, so you don't want to drop something heavy on it when the temps are in the 20's or lower; I doubt that you get much of that weather in Savannah! Our deck has faded a bit, but not as much as I would have expected over the years. One word of warning - a friend warped and melted his Trex deck using one of those portable fire pits, even though he had it elevated a bit off the deck...That’s great to hear, the mother in law just bought this stuff and I didn’t have time to research it. Seems solid. Very easy to cut/staple/screw.
how does it deal with moving furniture, plants and such across the surface? Any noticeable major UV fading?
I have four of these porches to do. Lots of wood rot to repair also. This house is from 1884.
as you can see a lot of sistering of existing structure.
How do you go about that? I'd like to try it in my basement.Finished floor... stamped and sealed. I think it’s a nice look. And Saves money on flooring.
