Nice fence, is that pine?

Got the bright idea to build a stone path to the barn. This area gets very wet in the spring so it will be a huge improvement...when it's finished. Kinda slow going but enjoyable. I'm definitely not a pro at this.

Couple of before pics for reference. Was dirt on that side with sliding barn doors on the front and back.

I added a bathroom/tool storage onto the back. It will be nice, but the building was poorly built, so trying to make everything fit together and look good is a bit of a challenge.

Got my ridge beams up and tried some rafters but cannot figure out why I keep screwing up my birds mouth cut. I could use some help!

Edit: My bird mouth cut is just fine. The problem was the rafter was sticking above my ridge beam. I figured out the top of my ridge beam is at the wrong height. I forgot to add the height of the board above the birds mouth to the height of the ridge board. Doh! Only 2" of the heal on my plumb cut was landing on my ridge board. I'll have to lengthen my story boards 4-3/4" and everything will be good.

Got the Hardie Shingles on the front gables... what a hassle to install!

But I’m pretty happy with the results. :)

Looking good.

Got most of my rafters up. Going to add some perlins while I wait for some more 2x6's. Still need to draft a cupola design for the top. Going to make it 36"x36" (no idea what I'm doing lol). 20190805_185115.jpg

Garden fence I started for my wife. I’m just ripping up leftover 1x6 redwood fence boards for all the pieces. The boxes have been there a while so I just attached the home made boxed “posts” to the planter boxes. The other side is just t-posts that I’m gonna box in to match the other posts.

It’s light duty but hopefully will keep the damn deer out.
