So i'm having oiler issues on a couple of my 288's. What are the most common issues with these oilers. I had one eat a worm gear like it was jammed up but i could spin the "piston" with a finger. The other made oil without a bar & chain but no oil with the bar & chain. WTF!

Plastic worm gear? Maybe the clutch got too hot and roasted it.

The other sounds like an alignment issue with the oil hole on the bar.
Yep plastic gear. I ran it for 4-5 cuts and noticed no oil so stopped using it. It's really buggin me cuz I just did bearings and such. I'm really wanting to use this saw but the damn oiler is killing me.

Other saw...
I was running a stretched chain cut down to 92 drivers instead of 93 so very possible alignment issue.

Thanks for the info jim
