Rebuilt my MS 441 and I think I put the base gasket in upside down. Just noticed in the manual that it said that the bump should go up and I think I put it in bump down. Should I tear it back down and put a new gasket in right side up? Or does it not matter?

And feel free to call me an idiot for not paying attention…

In that thread the bulletin states the opposite of your manual. I always put them bump up.

I just re-did a top end on an 066, what I found on it was that the curved portion should face down, not sure if that holds true for all Stihl saws or not....
