Spent some time yesterday away from other obligations to graft 562 spikes to the 572. Outside spike wasn’t to bad. Bolt holes pretty much lined up with a little filing and the spike needed to be ground on to clear the front of the side cover. The inside spike was a different story. Added some meat in specific spots and filled in existing bolt holes, ground and drilled new holes in correct locations. Keep in mind that extra attention was made to try and keep the existing hardness of the spikes while welding and grinding. A person could spend a lot less time accomplishing this modification but I was shooting for factory appearance.

Congrats to you Matt L What chain Is on your 572 ? What is available from your dealer ?

I got mine with a 24" .058 bar and x-cut chain. I didnt ask what else he had in stock, but he does have the 20" x-cut. Didnt ask if it was .050 or .058

I have 28", 24", and 20" setups for my 465. All .050 none x-cut. Going to toss those on the 572 and see how it does.

That’s how that saw should have come out of the box.

Gotta agree with you on this one!

It's bad enough that the saw isn't supplied with the outer spike from the factory. But having them on backorder for a month when they release the saw means they get 2 flags on the same play. No, make that 3 flags because the covers aren't drilled out either.

And no roller catcher standard like on the 372, no big deal I guess one can fit it easily. It’s just an annoyance. I can’t stand the metal catcher on my 7900 either lol. Ordered a roller for it.

all minor stuff really liking the 572! Alot of value for the money and love the beefy build even if it added some weight was a smart move on huskies part going for max durability the 70cc class saw is probably used more than any other i myself plan to put some hours on one when i get one

Nope just a place where husky guys can speak the truth, glad we can point out flaws and that is ok in here. I hope husky takes the time to fix the issues mentioned, it serves them to make the best product available that they can.

I don't see why they can't make a new saw?
Why do they have to "update" ?

Come to think of it, it's only been around for 5 yrs?
