Were you using a mill or just hand ripping the slabs?

Any one of them will hang if they sit long enough .I presume in my fleet I have many that won't putt putt any more .It's a constant battle .You get a few you prefer to run and most of the others just sit .Even the ones that sat so long the gasoline evaporated just leaving the oil from the mix will fail to start . The good part of that is you become an expert at rebuilding carbs .But both have sat on the shelf for years and the 084 wouldn’t start. I run them dry and the diaphragm was stuck from sitting. It now needs a carb kit. So the 90 had to do get r done. It’s amazing how much torque they have.

+1 on thatNow on that subject it really doesn't make a difference what it is .Anything two or four cycle if it doesn't get exercised it will not run tight .People and draft horses are like that too in case you didn't know .Use it or lose it .It takes more time to get it back the longer it stays at rest .
Randy rents pigs if you ever feel like going “lighter”.Yeah I feel like I rented a mule.
