I haven't gotten mine yet John. I'll write about them here when they arrive. I think the filter wraps are a nice addition to the HD filter.

Yeap. I use the outerwear pre filters with the HD... but would be interested to see how these one's work

The wraps work really well,my mower uses a similar style. Oil them with UNI filter oil. I pull the wrap and wash it in dish soap every couple weeks. Keep a spare so you always have a clean one.

Nice. I'm hoping to avoid the whole HD filter thing if I can by using one of these and the metal mesh winter filters.

The only saw I have loud enough to get my neighbors to complain is when I mill with my Big Bore 660! So, when I'm close to houses, I try to mill with something else.
I have pretty cool neighbors so that me making noise isn't much of a problem and I normally try to run saw and such at times where I know there not sleeping lol

It's designed for the K&N filter that is an HD "upgrade". I ordered a couple of the wraps to see if they will fit the regular HD and winter filters.

Great looking & sounding saw!! Should be a great saw once broken in!

K&N is good filter for a car/motorbike for road use but i would be suprised if it would outperform maxflow-filter in saws. I have K&N filter in my car, and it is pita to clean...
I also have a maxflow-filter in my 661 and it is great upgrade. Planning to get maxflow-kit also for my 660.
Dirt bikes use oiled foam-filters, i have not yet seen K&N filter in a dirt bike.....
Just my 2 cents......

The motor sounds really good - nice work! Was it starving for fuel a little bit toward the end of your bore cut?

Thanks JJ. Could have been. I was thinking to maybe open the main jet a bit. It's a 61 right now, so maybe it would benefit from being drilled to a 70.
