I am not sure on all of those questions. As far as I am aware, the fuel pump is basically the same as what you had on your '04. I remember seeing some videos that showed the basic principles of how it works.Ah, so that's how they do it.
I used to be a hard core snowmobiler..then sleds got real expensive, gas prices got crazy, and I had kids...
My last sled was an 04 Ski-doo Mxz-x I had spring ordered in 03. Since I sold that, I have not even looked under the hood of a sled!
I would assume some type of supply pump would be required to the injector? A bigger stator than required for just heated handles will for sure be needed.
Do the injectors still fire off 12v then?
If they are, they cant be using as much pressure as I thought they would.
Maybe they should pull a page from the Ford HPOP book and used pressurized bar oil to fire the injectors!
Yes, I believe it was the 600HO SDI if I remember correctly@RIDE-RED 350r my 04 was carbed. There was the more expensive option to get the injected version at the time, but it was in it's infancy at the time and I wanted no part of it. Time to ride was short as it was, and I didnt want to be sitting on the trail due to some new type of voodoo!
Interesting video. It would definately make for some intesting "packaging" having it in a small/medium chassis saw.
Them guys need to do a 500 vs 661
no need 661 will beat it handily and cost less doing so as it should the 661 is over 90cc
its 80cc they added fuel injection not a turbo lol
I would like to see it against good running stihl 461, husky 181/281, and the solo 681 and dolmar makita 7900/7910's in hardwood 20-28 inches
Kudos to Stihl
Lots of talk and assumptions as usual. Let's wait until we get our hands on the saw before making assumptions.
All of this is pretty much meaningless to me these days. How the saw is in my hands cutting wood will tell the real story. Internet hype, specifications and comparisons videos hold little to no weight with me. Why? Because I know better.[emoji6][emoji111] Don't get me wrong I like watching the videos, I've made some myself, but you really have no clue until you get the tool in hand IMHO.yes I want to see one on a scale. too many inaccurate specs from the manufacturers. that's why I was waiting to see a video of how one ran in wood
